Pestana Ferragudo is the newest course in the Algarve and the new flagship of the Pestana group: an 18-hole, par-73 parkland layout that opened in 2026 between the fishing village of Ferragudo and Carvoeiro. It sits right next to Pestana's two older courses, Gramacho and Vale da Pinta, which makes this corner of the western Algarve a very good base for a golf trip.
This guide answers one question: where should you stay to play Ferragudo Golf Course? Below are 11 hotels, resorts and villas within roughly 25 minutes of the first tee, starting with Pestana's own golf apartments next door, followed by places rated above 8 out of 10 by guests, from good-value rooms at around €50 a night to some of the best resorts in Portugal.
Is there a hotel at Ferragudo Golf Course?
Not yet. The course is part of Pestana Ferragudo Village, a new golf and residential development, and Pestana lists a boutique hotel among its planned facilities, but there is no opening date or booking page for it so far. For now, every golfer playing Ferragudo stays somewhere nearby and drives to the course.
The closest thing to an on-site hotel is Pestana Gramacho Residences, Pestana's own golf apartments on the neighbouring Gramacho course, about 12 minutes from Ferragudo by road. It is first on our list below. The closest well-rated hotel is actually Água Hotels Riverside, about 6 minutes away on the Ferragudo side of the Arade river.

How we chose these hotels
Apart from Pestana Gramacho Residences, which we include because it is part of the same golf resort, every hotel on this list has a guest rating of at least 8 out of 10 on Booking.com and is no more than about 25 minutes from the course by car. Drive times are calculated by road, not in a straight line. We checked breakfast hours and golf services on each hotel's own website wherever possible, and we only mention a golf perk if the hotel or its operator actually states it.
Prices are the lowest nightly rates we found in October 2026 for the cheapest room or apartment, usually in the quieter months of November to February. Spring and autumn, which are peak golf season, cost more, so treat them as a guide rather than a quote.

Pestana's golf apartments sit right on the Gramacho course, part of the same Pestana golf resort as Ferragudo, and Pestana describes the property as "the perfect place for golf lovers". You get a golf academy on the doorstep, breakfast from 7am, a free internal shuttle and apartments with kitchens, about 12 minutes from Ferragudo and 6 minutes from Vale da Pinta. Its guest score of 7.8 on Booking.com is a little lower than the rest of this list, but no other option puts you on a Pestana course with a golf academy on the doorstep.

Ferragudo Golf Course green fees by season
According to Pestana's current price list, a round at Ferragudo costs around €130 in low season (December, January and June to August), €200 in high season (November, February, May and September) and €230 in premium season (March, April and October). Twilight rounds from 15:30 cost €60, which is a great option if your hotel is close by. Prices change, so confirm with the club before you book.
Tips for golfers staying near Ferragudo
Hire a car. None of the hotels above confirms a golf shuttle to Ferragudo, and the course is around 50 minutes to an hour from Faro Airport. Having your own car also makes it easy to add nearby courses such as Gramacho, Vale da Pinta, Alto Golf and Morgado Golf, all within a short drive.
Check breakfast times before you book. If you like an early tee time, Pestana Gramacho Residences, Água Hotels Riverside and Penina all serve breakfast from 7am. Self-catering apartments and villas are the other way to get out early.
Play all three Pestana courses. Ferragudo, Gramacho and Vale da Pinta are all within about 12 minutes of each other. Pestana Gramacho Residences puts you right between them, and Pestana Palm Gardens guests get discounts at Gramacho and Vale da Pinta.
