Salgados Golf sits on flat coastal land between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, right beside the Salgados Lagoon nature reserve and a few hundred metres from the beach. Salgados Golf sells its Stay & Play packages with three resort hotels: the Algarve Marriott Salgados, the Westin Salgados and the Marriott Residences. Salgados green fees and what to know before you play
Salgados is one of the better-value championship courses in the Algarve. On the official 2026 price list, 18 holes cost €91 in low season (January, July, August and December), €119 in mid season (February, June and November) and €163 in high season (March to May, September and October). Nine holes cost €60 to €115.
A buggy costs €50 for 18 holes and a trolley €6, and you can hire a premium Callaway set with a sleeve of balls for €50. If you are hiring anyway, the club's promotions combining a player, buggy and clubs (from €158 in low season) save money. Prices are valid until 31 December 2026.
The club's 2026 policies welcome golfers of every level and do not mention a handicap limit. What matters is keeping up with the group in front. Wear what you would at any upscale golf club, with closed shoes, and expect to change if you turn up in T-shirts or beachwear. Tips for golfers staying near Salgados
Bring the camera. The lagoon next to the course is a protected nature reserve, and its wetland birdlife is part of the experience, especially early in the morning.
More golf nearby. Balaia Golf Village is about 24 minutes east for a quick nine holes, and Gramacho about 27 minutes west. If you are planning a short-course round, compare Balaia and Pine Cliffs.
Getting there. Faro Airport is about 50 km away, a little under an hour by car.
